SUSUMU HIRASAWA ZCON THE STORY: Two timelines. And a crack that connects the past and the present. ZCON, which creates eugenic control, and ZCONITE, a conceptual stone that occurs in the brain. A man who looks at the present from 20 years ago stakes his future on freeing his schizophrenic-like sister, known as the Template, from the control of ZCON. With the help of a weather technician living in a parallel world and the Revision Council, a strange task of revising reality finally begins. At some point in history, the idea emerged that there are two types of humanity called Ayokayo and Ambani. Ayokayo means superior humans, while Ambani means inferior humans. This is merely an idea, not a fact. It is an invention of the Ayokayo, who call themselves superior humans. Anyone who understands reason will realize that Ayokayo are not superior but merely cunning. However, people who talk about reason have long been treated as eccentrics. Through history, we cannot trace the origins of Ayokayo and Ambani. History was simply created by the Ayokayo to give a pseudo-sense and reality that they live in the daily lives of the Ambani. The Ayokayo have thus built the current world over an unimaginably long time, taking care of the Ambani in their terms. For Ayokayo, it was necessary for Ambani to remain forever inferior. Because there was a risk of their positions being reversed. The Ambani were completely controlled, and even at the end of their lives, they were educated to think it was natural to serve Ayokayo unknowingly. Ambani were taught that the anti-life activity of sacrificing oneself to maintain their existence was a form of reason. And to prevent them from realizing this pain was anti-life, the hard labor was supported by slogans that made them mistakenly believe this pain was proof of diligence as a virtue. A man who, unaware of Ayokayo's downfall, served as a guardian of ZCON was informed by nGIAP, who spoke to him from the crack, about how ZCON had made Ambani unhappy. The guardian, in tears of remorse, conveyed the workings of ZCON to nGIAP and cut off the power of ZCON. Despite nGIAP's cry of "Don't cut it yet!" the guardian collapsed to the floor and starved to death. Since then, nGIAP has been waiting from the world 20 years ago for the day when someone would turn on the power of ZCON after Ayokayo's disappearance. From the crack in the timeline, another timeline, slightly in the future and unaffected by ZCON, can be accessed. In this timeline, nGIAP can organize the necessary weather technician group and the Revision Council a little before the necessary moment. Several years after Ayokayo's demise, while the Ambani were still extremely confused with their schizophrenic symptoms, sisters called Template, Rubii and Citrine, found ZCON in the forest. Template refers to the subject directly controlled by ZCON, and whatever happens to Template through ZCON happens to everyone. The ZCON the sisters found looked like an old small hut. To be continued

Aside from the superb music, I am truly in awe of the background pictures used in this video. It's one of the most 2008 things remaining on this accursed website. The intro to this song sounds a LOT like Quiet Life by Japan. I like how Hirasawa used a lot of classic 80s synthpop inspiration for a existential anime set in a fedual Mediveal realm, and some how managed to make it fit perfectly.
